Forestry
Forests cover a large part of New Brunswick and play an important role in our environment, economy, and way of life. They provide timber for homes, pulp for paper, habitat for wildlife, and spaces for recreation and reflection. Our forests also store carbon, filter water, and help maintain the province’s natural balance.
By understanding how forests grow and change, and how human activity affects them, we can make better decisions to keep these ecosystems healthy and productive for generations to come.
